Description

This post is a part-teaching/part-clinical role, within the department of Paediatrics, with its main focus being on the delivery and development of the undergraduate curriculum in Child Health.

It would suit someone who aims to pursue a career in Paediatrics and/or has a keen interest in medical education and would like to enhance their teaching skills and experience.

The main clinical duties are to support the Paediatric department (that covers neonatal, community, acute Paediatric emergencies and outpatient clinics).

Specialist clinics and training can be arranged according to career interests.

Clinical research is an important aspect of daily practice in this unit, and so opportunities will be available to complete 'Good Clinical Practice' training to support the participation in recruitment to Trust Clinical Research Trials.

There are no on-call commitments in order to ensure availability for the medical student responsibilities; however, locum opportunities may be available.

The post holder will be supervised by Dr. Mannikar, Consultant Paediatrics, who has a significant role in undergraduate medical education and departmental education.

Please see the attached Job Description for further details on the responsibilities and requirements for this post.
