    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join our team here at The Gin Trap Inn where we've just been awarded 3 AA Rosettes.

    As a Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. As well as constantly thinking of new ways to improve guest experience through our drinks offering in the bar and restaurant. If you have a passion for the hospitality industry, enthusiastic about drinks (more specifically top end beers, wines, spirits and cocktails) and possess exceptional organisational and leadership skills, then we want to hear from you

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage all aspects of the bar operations, including stock & cellar management, ordering supplies, and maintaining high standards.
    • Maintain our extensive wine collection.
    • Create and implement effective strategies to maximize sales and profitability
    • Train, supervise, and motivate bar staff to deliver exceptional customer service
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
    • Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to exceed customer expectations
    • Collaborate with the restaurant team to create innovative drink menus that complement the food offerings
    • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues or concerns promptly
    • Handle any customer complaints or disputes in a professional manner

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a similar role within the bar, restaurant or hospitality industry.
    • Experience managing ale/lager lines, knowledge of cask marque requirements is a real bonus.
    • WSET Level 1 preferable but having a WSET Level 2 or above would be ideal
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
    • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
    • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
    • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.

    Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 on a full time contract with tip structure and accommodation available too.
