Financial Accountant - Hospitality Group - London - Permanent
- _£55,000 - £60,000 base salary (plus bonus and benefits)_
- _2-3 days in the office per week_
Altum Consulting are excited to be working exclusively with the UK's fastest growing hospitality group to secure a recently qualified finance professional to join as a financial accountant.
The group has recently gone through a dynamic transformation of it's core brands, which has enable them to growth and become market leaders across both budget and high-end leisure, these changes include the refresh of certain brands and new acquisitionsinto the portfolio across a number of major cities in the UK.
Providing support in the way of preparing monthly,quarterly & annual consolidated results, take a leading role during the external audit, support in the finalisation of the statutory accounts, be responsible for the group capital expenditure process giving insight into the business plans and strategy forour portfolio of brands.
Key Responsibilities,
- Support finalisation of statutory accounts and returns for UK and overseas entities.
- Become key contact on the external audits and manage through from planning to completion. Prepare audit schedules and reconciliations as required.
- Support preparation of quarterly consolidated reporting to the parent company and bank, including consolidated balance sheets and cashflows.
- Responsible for the day to day management of the capital expenditure process.
- Ownership and monitoring of the groups IFRS 16 model and processing remeasurements as required. Take lead on any future incremental borrowing rate revisions.
- Support preparation of monthly management pack for parent company and bank.
- Support with month end process, including processing of manual journals.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
- Support delivery of financial reporting obligations to both internal, including parent company, and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Support implementation of, and compliance with, robust financial controls.
- Ad hoc technical accounting and project work as required.
Required Experience,
- Full accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA)
- Preferably audit trained and straight from a top50 accounting practice
- Previous hospitality experience gained in practice an advantage
- Strong practical knowledge of IFRS
- IT Skills, including MS Excel (advanced)
