Management Accountant

Newport

Salary of £35,000 - £42,000 per annum


My client, a large manufacturing organisation based in the Newport area are currently recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team.

Reporting into the Site Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will have key responsibilityto assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and assist with delivering key analysis of the company performance.

My client requires a strong management accountant, that enjoys analysing costs and continuously looking at improvements.


Key Responsibilities to include:


  • Support budget and forecast process
  • Attend quarterly and annual stock takes
  • Report on working capital
  • Review weekly production variance
  • Responsible for the site Fixed Asset register
  • Assist in minimum control standard audits
  • Support Finance Business Partner in data cleansing reviews, such as BOM's and other system data
  • Prepare site Gross Margin and Inventory analysis reports
  • Track and report on saving initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possesses or is studying towards a professional accountancy qualification e.g. ACCA or CIMA.
  • The jobholder must have experience of working within a manufacturing environment previously
  • A thorough knowledge of management and finance with the ability to create and analyse financial reports and budgets.
  • Detailed knowledge and practical experience of Excel is essential

  • Ability to liaise with all levels of the business


The role will be office based initially, however in the long-term my client is open to 1-2 days a week home working.

Hours are Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm or 8.30am - 4.30pm.
