Join us as an
Environment Advisor to support the delivery of the environmental and sustainability strategy for Siemens Rolling Stock business.
This is a hybrid role that will require significant travel to multiple sites across the UK (north and south of the UK); the expectation is that you will spend 2 days per week on site guiding the depots, facilities, and outstations to implement our environmental deliverables.
You'll make an impact by
- Practical and technical onsite leadership of the Environmental Improvement Plans.
- Ownership and management of the waste contract and resource efficiency targets.
- Facilitating and developing delivery of the environment and sustainability documentation (such as policies, procedures, briefing notes, guidance, and training material).
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the ISO14001 accreditation and environmental management system (EMS).
- Analysing the environmental data to identify trends and to highlight risks and opportunities.
- Remaining cognisant of emerging environmental and relevant sustainability legislation to support the maintenance of our legal and risk register, and commitment to deliver our legal obligations.
You'll win us over by
- Previous experience in Waste Management or related environmental field is essential; other environment topics such as carbon, resource use, biodiversity, energy would be an advantage.
- Membership of a relevant professional organisation (E
g:
PIEMA, MCIWM) (preferred).
- Effectively prioritising work and experience in the development and/or delivery of environment processes.
- Preparing high quality written documentation; managing and manipulating environmental data to identify trends and gaps and producing Management Information.
- Experienced in Project Management (preferred).
- ISO14001 Lead or Tri Standards Auditor (desirable).
