We are recruiting for a

Finance and Commercial Officer to join our team in Siemens

This role is based at our UK Head Quarters in West Didsbury, Manchester with our delicious on-site 'Bee-hive' canteen, free parking and close proximity to tram links


You'll make an impact by:


  • Booking and commercial management of orders, revenue and costs.
  • Forecasting.
  • New customer and supplier account requests.
  • Timely and accurate invoicing, monitoring and resolution of invoice queries; active participation in debt collection / management.
  • Review and approval of supplier invoices and resolving queries as required.
  • Timely and accurate completion of month end and related activities including: posting of journals; calculation and assignment of Costs Of Sales where required; regular review of operating working capital items.
  • Controlling and monitoring of operating working capital items.
  • Responsibility for completing ICFR controls for area of own responsibility.
  • Coordinating, reporting and participating in process improvement activities
  • Supporting the business by providing ad hoc analysis as required in a timely manner

What we're looking for:


  • Previously worked in a finance and/or commercial department/ team and / or a Degree in Finance / Accounting would be advantageous.
  • SAP experience would be preferable
  • Experience working in a customer facing role would be great
  • Collaborative, team player with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and proactively drive productivity in the business.
  • Organised, methodical approach. Able to manage multiple, simultaneous demands and workload spikes at key times eg financial period ends.
