Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)
Our client is the leading service provider of Managed Equipment Services (MES) for the NHS and the private health sector in the UK.
They are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician with an Electrical Bias to join their team based at Wolverhampton New Cross Hospital.
To be considered for this role you must have previous experience within facilities maintenance, including electrical, ventilation, BMS, along with practical knowledge of Health and Safety including CDM, safe systems of work, COSHH, Risk assessments, lone working, etc.
This includes planned maintenance and reactive work as well as supporting non routine work, for example building lifecycle activities or changes to the building.
The goal is to minimise the reactive workload through good maintenance.It is noted that construction, major structural repairs, repair of electronic and complex medical equipment is beyond the scope of this position.
Perform PPM Tasks issued via Help desk. Ensure PM tasks are completed in line with our performance obligationsMinimising downtime and considering access, tools, competence to complete task and parts availability, arranging contractors etc
Escort contractors as and when required. Inspect sub-contractor work and ensure any corrective actions are appropriately followed up
Assist other members of the team as required or instructed by Line Managers and Senior Management
Perform allocated reactive tasks (reported by the customer to the helpdesk or assigned by the FM lead). Make arrangements for subcontractors to attend if and when required
Interruption or delay to planned maintenance to be discussed with the Line Manager
Participation in the On-Call Rota is required
Proactive maintenance and logging of such tasks via the CAFM system
Record any observation or issue on the task list or share any observation with your Line Manager for further investigation and/or advise if contractors are required to completed tasks
Responsible for the upkeep of the facility
Be compliant with any current company policies and procedures

Electrical competence

BMS (Building Management System) experience or prior exposure
Fire alarm and access control experience or prior exposure
Previous experience and or employment within a health care environment and/or facilities management contract
Royal London Pension - 5% employer contribution
Death in Service Scheme after probation - 4 times salary
Maternity - 21 weeks full enhanced maternity pay; this is inclusive of Statutory Maternity pay. Plus, after the employee has returned from Maternity Leave for 3 months, a 10% bonus will be paid, (with a commitment to work for 6 months plus)
