    Job summary

    Are you an experienced Primary Care Practice Managerlooking for a new challenge?

    Would you like to join a well-established and respected GPsurgery and contribute to their further growth, improvement and development?

    Do you have excellent people and operational managementskills but balance those with a sharp focus on providing outstanding patientcare?

    We are now looking for an experienced and accomplishedPractice Manager to oversee our well-established and very capable team and totake the practice to the next stage in our development, including working onour exciting new-build surgery and the subsequent migration from our existingpremises.

    Main duties of the job

    Working closely with the Partners you will beproviding leadership and management expertise to enable the practice to deliverhigh quality, patient centred care and services within a profitable, efficient,safe and effective working environment.

    You will also be providing strategic guidance andcosted planning as the practice continues to develop.

    Above all else, you will be managing the smoothrunning of this patient-centred practice.

    Job responsibilities

    Working closely with the Partners you will beproviding leadership and management expertise to enable the practice to deliverhigh quality, patient centred care and services within a profitable, efficient,safe and effective working environment.

    You will also be providing strategic guidance andcosted planning as the practice continues to develop.

    Above all else, you will be managing the smoothrunning of this patient-centred practice.

    Main responsibilities will include :

  • To provide warm, pragmatic, flexible andextremely organised leadership to a busy and successful practice.
  • Contribute to practice strategy, formulateobjectives, research and develop ideas for future practice development.
  • To provide full business management to thepractice, including finance, strategic planning, HR, IT, patient services, premisesmanagement, information governance and health & safety.
  • To lead on the financial planning of thepractice ensuring opportunities are maximised, costed and carefully planned.
  • To provide detailed financial and managementinformation to allow future planning.
  • You will be responsible for organisationalleadership, service improvement and delivery of key targets across all clinicaland administrative areas of the practice.
  • Tobuild strong and effective relationships, at all levels, both internally and withexternal partners,including representing the practice at local and area level
  • To lead in all areas of information governanceand data collection. You will ensurerelevant data is collected, available and provided in a timely manner. In addition, you will have experience in utilisingthis data to strengthen the practice and the care we provide.
  • To liaise with the developers on our new build.
  • To lead on compliance with CQC requirements
  • To represent the practice at the PatientParticipation Group.
  • To manage major projects both within the practice and those involving external partners.
    • Person Specification

    Experience

    Essential

  • You must have previous experience of a managerial role within
  • Primary Care.
  • A demonstrable track record of effective business management -
  • including Finance, HR, IT and strategic planning - is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to build relationships
  • with a wide range of individuals, groups and organisations.
  • Project management skills would be beneficial.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and be happy to roll up sleeves
  • when required.
  • Have the willingness and drive to adapt to NHS targets and
  • changes within an efficient and ambitious working environment.
  • Have the vision to look for potential opportunities and the drive to
  • ensure they are completed and delivered.
  • Above all this is a people-focused role and to that end you will be
  • able to connect with a broad range of people and be able to
  • inspire the team to come with you.
  • All applicants must hold a full driving licence.
  • The successful candidate will be required to have an Enhanced DBS
  • check.
  • Currently, we do not sponsor visas so you must have permanent
  • citizenship and be able to work in the UK on a permanent basis.
