Age UK is recruiting for a
Test Analyst to join our Digital and Technology team.

Working closely with the Quality and Assurance Manager (QA), you will be responsible for the testing of functionality on all Age UK technology and services.


This role forms an integral part of the QA team, testing Age UK's digital services, ensuring that we release new features that work for our users, contributing to the impact Age UK has on the lives of older people.


You will manage the execution of test scripts according to your understanding of the user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria, working together with people across teams, to ensure we test new functionality in the right way.


No day is the same, you will be working across lots of different products ranging from Age UK's main website, volunteering platform and our telephone friendship service platform.


This role is about ensuring that excellent user experience and accessibility are factored into every release, proposing opportunities to improve quality.

As a good communicator, you will work together with internal and external stakeholders, report on testingoutcomes, highlight issues and manage them toward a resolution.

This role is offered on a Hybrid / London contract and will include occasional travel to our modern co-working hub in East London as required.

You will have:


  • Experience of manual functional testing and creating and using test cases.
  • Experience of working with inhouse and agency staff.
  • Proven ability of testing websites and CMS familiarity
  • Experience of Test management software, e.g JIRA.
  • Good communicator especially when conveying technical issues or solutions to nontechnical colleagues.
  • Good organisational skills, able to work efficiently.
  • Ability to problem solve, to be adaptive and flexible in approach and to be solutionfocussed.
  • A team player with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.
  • Look to keep up to date with testing and expand knowledge in best practices.
