Due to recent growth and anticipated future expansion McAuley Engineering are currently recruiting for the following position:

Robotic Welding operator.


Under the direction of the Team Leader, the operator is responsible for operating and maintaining robotic welding tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, to achieve required quality and production standards.

The operator will be required to perform all position welding and operate a variety of hand and air tools as needed.

The Robotic Welding Operator must have excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and correct issues quickly and efficiently.

Main duties and responsibilities:


  • Securing parts in fixtures
  • Confident to perform relevant computer transactions
  • Visually inspect and complete quality records with minimum supervision.
  • Adjust settings as required to optimise welding process
  • Program robotic welders and developing parameters and schedules for production
  • Follow technical diagram instructions while welding
  • Follow safety policies, procedures and instructions as outlined by the employer's and regulatory bodies' safety guidelines and procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while keeping a safe work area
  • Maintain software control for all automated systems while following the software control change process.
  • Perform all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards.
  • Clean equipment, tooling, and area around workstation on a daily basis.

This position will initially be on dayshift Mon to Thurs 7am to 5pm but an evening shift (4.45pm - 3am Mon to Thurs) may be required to satisfy demand.

The successful applicant must be available and willing to work a rotating shift pattern if required.
