An Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) - Social Care Qualified is required to support the team to provide early assessment, comprehensive programmes of treatment and continuing care for clients.

The objective is to assist people with their recovery, reduce relapse of illness and admission to hospital, and to enable people to remain at home, thus improving their quality of life.

Qualifications:


  • Professional qualification in Social Work (Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work, CQSW as required by Social Work England
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Demonstrate continuous professional development and evidence based practice

Skills & experience:


  • Previous experience of working in a community mental health setting.
  • Excellent team player who can collaborate with health and social staff and other agencies.
  • Previous experience of working with the Care Programme Approach (as laid out in the NHS and Community Care Act of 1990), Mental Health Act (1983, updated 2007), Mental Capacity Act and the Care Act
  • Excellent needs and risk assessment skills.
