Job Title:
Cover Supervisor (SEMH)

Location:
Southampton

Contract Type:
Full-time, Temp to Perm

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join TimePlan and work specifically with students who have SEMH needs.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere for our students, ensuring they have access to quality education in a positive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide cover for absent teachers, maintaining continuity in the learning process for students with SEMH needs.
Support and engage students in their learning, adapting to individual needs and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to implement strategies that address SEMH needs and promote emotional wellbeing.
Manage challenging behaviour effectively, using deescalation techniques and promoting positive behaviour management.
Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a sense of belonging and selfworth.
Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans for students with SEMH needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
A passion for supporting the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational setting.
Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
