- Collaborate with and influence strategic and operational decisions made by senior stakeholders within Primark and ABF.
- Define the approach for handling all interactions with Regulators across the Primark group, taking the lead on these matters while incorporating input from key stakeholders.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance, proactively identifying legal risks and opportunities.
- Supervise the drafting, review, and negotiation of various agreements, contracts, and legal documents to safeguard the business, optimize value, and manage legal risks.
- Develop and communicate the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the ESG & regulatory segment in alignment with Primark's core objectives and values.
- Provide strategic guidance to the executive team and other stakeholders on legal matters, assisting in decision-making, achieving successful outcomes, and effectively mitigating legal and regulatory risks.
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of + years PQE.
- Experience in private practice either in Ireland or the United Kingdom.
- Background in advising on ESG & Regulatory matters, preferably across multiple jurisdictions.
- Broad commercial experience, particularly with a large retailer operating internationally.
- Ability to provide a rigorous legal interpretation without compromising business interests.
- Strong leadership skills and trusted advisory capability, with extensive experience in developing relationships with senior business personnel and influencing business strategies.

Head of Legal – Environmental, Social, Governance & Regulatory
Our Legal teams play a crucial role within our organization, working alongside top legal professionals in the field. Your innovative ideas will contribute to shaping our customers' experience as part of our forward-thinking team.
As the Head of Legal, you will hold a significant position in the legal leadership team of the Primark group. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic direction to the global legal department. Reporting directly to the Legal Director, you will be instrumental in defining and executing the legal strategy for the ESG & Regulatory segment of Primark. Additionally, you will lead a team of solicitors and effectively manage legal and regulatory risks across the Primark business.
Being part of the global legal team at Primark, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders within our company and the parent company ABF plc. Offering commercially astute advice on a wide range of issues, you will influence strategic and operational decision-making throughout the Primark organization.
