We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has an enthusiastic and positive approach in supporting pupils to enable them to reach their full learning potential at school.

The role will involve supporting a small number of pupils within the classroom environment. Previous experience is desirable although training and support will be given.


Our staff are passionate about teaching and supporting learning at Cranborne Middle School and we work well as a team to plan lessons that engage and challenge our hardworking and well-behaved pupils.

We are a happy and successful 9-13 middle school, and enjoy an excellent reputation in the local community.

The position is for 31.67 hours per week, commencing 1st September 202- hold a GCSE or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
- have experience of working/volunteering with young people
- have good oral communication skills
- have good organisational skills, including record keeping
- be patient, disciplined and flexible
- be able to work as part of a highly successful team
- have ability to take instruction and use initiative
- demonstrate high standards of professionalism
- be fully committed to his or her own professional development
- demonstrate commitment, drive and enthusiasm
- be committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare

  • Interviews will be held week commencing 3rd June 2024.The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.
The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert.

The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.


This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
