Community Partnerships Officer:

We are recruiting a Community Partnerships Officer to join our award-winning Community Partnerships Team within the Housing & Regeneration Directorate of the council.

It's an exciting time to join the service as we are transforming the way we engage with and deliver services to our 22,000 tenants and leaseholders, following the in sourcing of the housing management services back into the council.

We want to make sure our residents are at the heart of shaping our housing management services, providing them with the tools and resources to make their engagement with us meaningful.

We are looking for an experienced and confident community engagement and community development professional, who is highly creative and motivated individual, committed to developing and delivering innovative programmes to meet the needs of our diverse communities.

Experience of working in a diverse inner-city area and a good understanding of socio-economic challenges faced by our residents is important.

Some key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Working with residents and internal and external stakeholders develop Neighbourhood Action Plans for the neighbourhoods in your designated patch and work collectively to deliver the actions.
  • Provide advice & support to the Tenants and Residents Associations (TRAs) in your patch, including around their governance, recruitment of new members and capacity building.
  • Work with internal and external partners to deliver our emerging residents engagement Strategy, putting residents at the core of our service delivery.
  • Deliver community events and initiatives that help bring communities together to foster neighbourliness, cohesion and help with tenancy sustainability.

Closing date: 26th May 2024 at 23:59
