    Established in 2001, Educational Initiatives Private Limited (EI) is a leading assessment research and educational technology organization in South Asia.     and technology.

    The Assessments team is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality assessments, capacity-building programs, and technical enhancements as part of Ei Shiksha. This vertical specifically works with low-income or government schools, leveraging EI's expertise to create contextually relevant solutions and programs. We
    collaborate with state governments, international grantmakers, corporate foundations, and NGOs.

    Over the past two decades, EI has successfully completed 80+ projects with 50+ government and civil society partners. These projects covered diverse geographies, languages, and socio-linguistic backgrounds, benefiting over 10 million students across different grades. With offices in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, our 350+ staff members specialize in assessments, technology, training, and project management. EI's top executives have served as advisors on educational committees for the State and Central Government of India.

    We have undertaken significant systems change projects in collaboration with organizations such as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB), SCERT Haryana, Bihar Education Project Council, SSA Tamil Nadu, Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh government agencies, as well as countries like Maldives and Bhutan. Our work has received funding from reputable sources such as UNICEF, the World Bank, USAID, DfID-UK, PSIPSE, MacArthur Foundation, MSDF, Hewlett Foundation, McKinsey, Harvard University, and the University of Newcastle.

Our team consists of more than 300 professionals who bring together a unique combination of pedagogical expertise, assessment knowledge, and extensive experience working with schools, government systems, leading educational organizations, and renowned academic
    institutions. Our team comprises alumni from esteemed institutions such as Harvard Business School (HBS), Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), and Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). Additionally, we have individuals with outstanding academic achievements, including PhD and Masters level rank-holders in Science, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Our team also includes experienced teachers with years of school experience, curriculum and textbook developers, and teacher trainers.

    To support our diverse range of projects, we have specialized internal teams dedicated to test development, data science, educational research, psychometrics, personalized learning, and IT development.     Key Roles and Responsibilities

    1. Large-Scale Assessment Projects

    a. Collaborate with the manager to facilitate the execution of project management processes.

    b. Comprehend project requirements and coordinate with internal teams (Content Development, Pedagogical Research, Assessments, etc.) and external partners (assessment vendors, experts, etc.) to deliver the necessary project outputs.

    c. Collaborate with the team to develop strategic roadmaps, implementation plans, project timelines, work breakdown structures, and resource allocation plans to guide project execution.

    d. Lead end-to-end project implementation, ensuring adherence to goals, budget, and timelines.

    e. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to field units.

    f. Travel to the field to evaluate, implement, or support project requirements, including the implementation of LSEP assessments with clients, and gain a better understanding of clients' work.

    g. Identify operational bottlenecks and weaknesses, and collaborate with the program manager to devise resolutions.

    h. Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials (State and District) and partner organizations.

    i. Monitor project expenses, track budget utilization, and provide stakeholders with financial status reports.

    j. Foster team growth and learning by sharing knowledge and providing feedback.

    k. Support the creation and review of high-quality assessment tools.

    l. Collaborate with the data analysis team to uncover project insights.

    m. Prepare reports based on project reporting needs.

    n. Maintain project documentation.

    o. Support the team's growth and learning needs.

    2. Organizational Development

    a. Expand the scope of projects by high-quality dissemination- working papers, publications etc.

    b. Research, learn and identify strengths and areas of improvement needed at a team level to conduct diverse projects.

    Qualifications and Experience

    1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field( eg: social work, development studies, project management)

    2. 2-5 years of experience in the education or development sector.

    3. Proven experience as a Project Manager or Project Implementation Lead, with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

    Required Skills

    1. Strong understanding of education, instruction, assessments, and capacity building.

    2. In-depth knowledge of India's education landscape.

    3. Excellent project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

    4. Exceptional leadership and communication for effective collaboration with stakeholders and team management.

    5. Quick learner with the ability to grasp Educational Initiatives' models and business.

    6. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

    7. Proficient in creating concise and comprehensible content for stakeholders.

    8. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

    9. Adaptability to changing project requirements and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

    10. Meticulous documentation skills.

    11. Willingness to travel to remote locations.

    Preferred skills and qualifications
    1. Candidates who have previously handled large-scale education-related projects.
    2. Experience working with government and/or NGOs.

    Compensation

    Remuneration will be competitive with the Indian development sector pay scales and will depend upon the candidate's skills and experience levels.
