- Packing of all newspaper and magazine products using the tracking process
- Management of all 'returnable products' to the returns department
- Supervising all staff. Providing training and coaching and identifying training needs
- Providing accurate reports that highlight any challenges or successes
- Working closely with the management team to identify potential risks
- Maintaining a high level of health and safety at all times
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy
- Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills
- A track record of success in a fast paced warehouse environment
- Tenacious and effective approach to meeting and exceeding targets and delivering an outstanding client experience
- People management or supervisory experience
- Computer literate and comfortable in the use of technology and IT systems, including a high degree of knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent oral and written communications skills including: The ability to engage and build rapport with stakeholders/ Communicating information in a clear and commercial manner & Adapting style and content for different audiences
- Adaptable, positive and effective when working with ambiguity and changing commercial drivers
- Able to work at pace whilst maintaining an accurate, high quality output
- Highly organised with a well-developed approach to prioritisation

Job Details:
As a Deputy Depot Manager, you will support the management team and will deputise and run the operation in their absence.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Planning and resourcing to ensure a smooth day and twilight operation
There is an element of handball to this role with lifting the news papers so please make sure, you're comfortable with this before applying.
