- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and to comply with safety rules, procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
- Report all events (personal injuries, equipment damage, environmental and security) to your Line Manager
- Contract management and re-tendering of the following type of contracts: Site Contracts, Sourcing of equipment and materials, Contracts for operations and projects. This will involve defining & agreeing procurement strategy with the Stakeholders, managing the pre-qualification process, compilation and issue of Invitations to Tender, receipt of tenders, analysis of tenders, commercial bid clarifications, possible negotiation of terms and conditions, compilation of a commercial bid analysis and recommendation for award, compilation of purchase order and post contract management. This will include equipment maintenance contracts, goods supply agreements and site services contracts.
- Post order management of purchase orders including expediting, coordination of deliveries, payment applications, variations, invoice queries, purchase order amendments etc.
- Negotiating with suppliers and contractors to secure advantageous terms.
- Promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
Key Requirements- Experience and ability to work in a dynamic environment balancing demands of day-to-day workload and general operational requirements.
- Level 4 CIPS qualified desirable, with a willingness to work towards full CIPS accreditation or continued professional development courses in a procurement sphere
- Reasonable exposure to each stage of the procurement process from requisition to pay.
- Reasonable exposure of purchasing activities.
- Ability to maintain accurate records/audit trails.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships.

About the role
The role holder will be responsible for the contract management, re-tendering of site contracts. Also, responsible for the procurement of equipment, materials and site services for the Stublach Site.
ENGIE are recruiting for a Senior Buyer based in Stublach Site Office, Northwich. This is a Permanent role, working full time Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
