    The Role:

    As a Trainee CAM Programmer, you will undergo comprehensive training to become proficient in computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software and processes. Under the guidance of experienced CAM programmers, you will learn how to translate engineering designs into manufacturing instructions, optimise production workflows, and ensure the efficient operation of CNC machines.

    Main Duties:

    • Offline programming using Siemens NX CAM
    • Create and validate 3 and 5 axis programmes and supporting documentation.
    • Complete NC programmes for 3, 4 and 5-axis machines for a production environment
    • Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
    • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.

    Technical Skillset:

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, computer science, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
    • Basic understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

    Personal Qualities

    • Experience in computer-aided design (CAD) software desired.
    • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
    • Highly motivated, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
