What we are looking for
We are looking for a Public Rights of Way Assistant to join our team in Public Realm.

The successful person will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.


About the role


The post holder will also be responsible for responding to general queries concerning public rights of way as well as assisting the PROW Officer with general duties relating to the Council's role in managing commons and village greens.


Attention to detail is key, as you will need to analyse and interpret complex documents, plans, legislation and to draft legal orders.


About you
If you have a passion for problem solving rights of way and general countryside access issues, have basic surveying experience, and can read and interpret maps, then we would love to hear from you


Ability to use Microsoft Office and experience of general business administration is essential in order for you to carry out the role in an effective and efficient manner.


You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills which will be needed when dealing with a variety of stakeholders including landowners, Parish Councils and other public bodies.
