Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a leading design & manufacturing business for the assignment of a Senior Design Electronics Engineer.


As a Senior Design Electronics Engineer, you'll be responsible to work on a variety of project and product development for rechargeable battery solutions.


Senior Design Electronics Engineer main responsibilities

  • Design and development of battery management, protection and charging systems
  • Project management experience in a new product development life cycle; meeting internal and external deadlines.
  • Support new product development by developing products with design for manufacture and quality built in.
  • Creating bill of materials and selecting appropriate parts to meet customer requirement.
  • Test new products, evaluate performance and safety circuits and create reports for customer and internal use.
  • Work with a multi disciplined team to ensure projects are delivered on time, costed appropriately and designed to a high standard.
  • Supporting Electronics Design Engineers in development of skills.
  • Supporting Engineering Design Manager in liaising with customers to define specifications.

Key requirements:


  • Electronics Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • 35 years' design experience within a relevant industry.
  • Strong embedded software/firmware knowledge.
  • Embedded programming experience in C, C++,.net, C#, java, Python, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Background in power electronics.
  • Experience in SMPS design, PCB Design, Schematic capture and layout using Altium Designer or similar.
  • Experience with microprocessors/micro controllers (PIC).
  • Ensure compliance with company's HSE policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO procedures.
