Company Description Do you want to work with the leading multimedia news teams in Scotland? We are now looking for an experienced Affiliate Writer to across our Scottish national and regional titles, including but not limited to the Daily Record, EdinburghLive and GlasgowLive.**This is an exciting opportunity to write engaging affiliate content with the help of state of the art AI tools. You will cover a variety of topics, from the latest tech drops to different ways to save money during the cost of living crisis, the newest fashion must haves and more. You will create catching content to target consumers, helping our readers to save money and make informed buying choices.


We're looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.

This is a fixed term contract role, initially for 6 months, ideally starting as soon as possible.

Job Description What will the role involve?**You will create engaging, audience led affiliate content with a particular emphasis on generating revenue through affiliate links. You will conceptualise, write and deliver high quality articles that inform consumers and provide authoritative advice on buying decisions, from reviews to comparisons and beyond. You will create and implement content plans that work in conjunction with our wider affiliates strategy, liaising with our affiliates team to share ideas and best practices.


You will utilise our AI tools to rework your articles for publication across multiple platforms and brands, allowing your content to reach audiences across every title, driving traffic and revenue generation.

You will spot compelling consumer content with affiliate opportunities and identity trending stories to incorporate into your content. You will promote your content off platform and via social media to build a loyal audience of consumers. This role will involve weekend/evening working on a shift based rota, so a flexible approach is required.

Qualifications Who are we looking for?**You are a passionate and experienced journalist with an
NCTJ or equivalent journalism qualification
and in depth knowledge of media law. You have demonstrable experience writing consumer driven, audience engaging content with an emphasis on affiliate linked articles. You have excellent social media skills and know how to disseminate content across various platforms.

You are a first class writer and stay on the pulse of the latest trending stories and products.

You have experience spotting consumer trends and writing about them, with an understanding of how to make your content eye-catching.

You are keen to utilise AI to help push your content to wider audiences and are bursting with affiliate content ideas for our brands.
