Essentials:
- Chemical / Process Engineering Degree
- 6+ Years relevant industrial experience
- Experience of working at a Top Tier COMAH site
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in technical report writing, producing documentation and the development of operating procedures and manuals
- High degree of analytical and numeracy skills
- Experience of supporting production / manufacturing and maintenance teams at high-hazard facilities
- Able to troubleshoot, problem solve, analyse data, and suggest improvements to reduce loss / wastage
- Process optimisation, loss prevention, energy reduction and waste minimisation experience
- Able to undertake and sign off project scoping, PFD/P&ID development and produce basis of design documentation
- Substantial experience in detailed process engineering design (equipment specification, data sheet production and sign-off, equipment selection and user requirement specification generation)
- Able to interpret, produce, review and update engineering procedures and standards for site use
- Familiar with process safety management concepts and experience of undertaking, leading, and participating in safety studies (MAH, HAZID, HAZOP, PRR and Risk Assessment)
- QRA, SIL and LOPA experience
- Relief device sizing and validation
- Experience of management of change systems and procedures
- Project management and planning skills / experience
- Experience of working within multi-discipline project teams
- Experience of working with design agencies and contractor organisationsDesirables:

- Chartered Chemical Engineer
- Chemical manufacturing experience (solvents, alkoxylation, polymers, distillation, separation, reaction)
- Knowledge of steam and other site utility systems

We have an opportunity for a Lead Process Engineer at our Upper Tier COMAH manufacturing site located at Rawcliffe Bridge. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, you will take responsibility for supporting a plant production area and provide coaching to junior process engineers.
The Lead Process Engineer will provide direct operational support, undertake optimisation and loss reduction activities, and support the site capital investment programmes. A key requirement of this role will involve collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, you will apply your leadership skills and expertise to facilitate the introduction of new products and technologies onto site. It is expected that you will have a good working knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards, process safety management principles, project management, project engineering and be proficient in their practical application.
