    Description

    At Nova Hreod Academy, we pride ourselves on a team of staff who are supportive, friendly, and dedicated to providing the very best teaching and learning for our students.

    Staff across the academy set a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement for students which, in turn, is reflected in the emphasis we place on continuing professional development (CPD) for our staff.

    We have made significant, sustained progress at GCSE and are proud to have been the most improved school in Swindon.

    Nova Hreod Academy has approximately 900 pupils in Years 7-11.

    The school is situated in purpose-built £25 million premises, benefiting from excellent, state-of-the-art facilities, and situated within the beautiful county of Wiltshire, within commuting distance for Bristol, Bath and Oxford.

    After a visit from Ofsted in November 2022, the academy received a second 'Good' judgement in a row.

    MFL Teacher - French

    As well as welcoming applications from experienced teachers and those relocating to the area, the school can offer an excellent support network and induction programme for Newly Qualified Teachers who are committed to helping young people realise their potential.

    Our school ethos is rooted in our core principles of Drive, Integrity, Scholarship and Contribution. We are proud to have a knowledge rich curriculum, research informed teaching and amazing facilities. We have a dedicated team of non-teaching, pastoral and SEN staff working with SLT and teachers to support pupils.

    Our house system, student leadership opportunities, Nova Charter and SuperNova extra-curricular programme ensure our students have an extensive range of opportunities to develop character, demonstrate compassion and contribute to the community.

    We are looking for a French teacher who:
    a superb building with state-of-the-art facilities
    a rigorous whole-school discipline policy effectively supported by the senior leadership team
    Cash towards medical treatment
    At least one personal day a year

    We have a dedicated team of non-teaching pastoral and SEN staff work with SLT and teachers to support pupils and this enables us to have a 98% record of homework completion with centralised detentions for non-completion.

    We also have an amazing varied extra-curricular programme which helps our students grow and develop into rounded individuals.
