Our Communications team is expanding, and we're offering an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Digital Communications Officer to join us.


We're looking for someone with excellent digital skills who is a great communicator and enjoys being creative and visual with their content work.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our digital and social media channels, and also our website and intranet.


You'll already have been working in a digital communications role and be experienced in developing and delivering digital communications strategies.

You'll also have extensive social media experience.

The Senior Digital Communications Officer will be the lead officer within the team for the development and implementation of the Health Board's digital communication strategy through the delivery of high-quality digital communications.


The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day management of the health board's corporate bilingual digital and social media channels within the Communication Team, including the health board website and intranet.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The Senior Digital Communications Officer will be the lead officer within the team for the development and implementation of the Health Board's digital communication strategy through the delivery of high-quality digital communications.


The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day management of the health board's corporate bilingual digital and social media channels within the Communication Team, including the health board website and intranet.


This will include providing advice and support to clinical and corporate teams across the health board in the management and development of team channels.

Ensure the development and delivery of an effective digital communications strategy for Swansea Bay UHB.

Provide solutions to highly complex digital communication problems to a range of audiences, using persuasive and negotiating skills.
Manage the ongoing development of the health board website and communications section of the intranet.


Monitor social media channels and respond to enquiries from members of the public and stakeholders contacting Swansea Bay UHB for advice and information, utilising the skills and knowledge of the wider DICE Team and across the organisation.

Report live on social media channels from significant events and meetings, and during incidents.


Establish and maintain the health board's communication governance framework for its website and social media channels, ensuring effective processes for supporting clinical and corporate teams to develop and deliver their own social media channels in accordance with relevant legislation and health board standards.

This will include providing expert advice on digital communications to health board staff and contractors.


Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation in relation to the health board's digital communication channels including the Welsh Language Act, Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations, Equality Act, Data Protection legislation.


Deliver messages through professional communications using a variety of means, including, but not limited to, websites, social media graphics, videos.
