Looking for an experienced field sales professional with a background selling into end users to manage my clients portfolio of quarries and stone masons.


You will be responsible for:

  • Manage and develop the existing Direct Stone enduser customer account base to produce additional growth in line with the sales strategy.
  • Concentrate and Identify new sales opportunities and achieve profitable sales through these new accounts.
  • Work closely with the internal customer services team on maximising existing territory business and in proactively developing new business.
  • Participate constructively and effectively as a member of the Sales team. Always identifying and communicating business development territory requirements
  • Implementing a costeffective strategy for generating sales within the defined territory customer base of Northern England / West Midlands and South West England.
  • Achieve the territory sales in line with agreed budgets.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing customer base, addressing their needs/requirements by effectively collaborating with the customers owners, managers, operatives and key influencers.
  • The incumbent will spend approximately 90% of their time in the field visiting existing customers and prospecting for new opportunities. A significant emphasis on developing customer relationships where excellent potential exists.
  • Work closely with the internal customer services team on maximising existing territory business and in proactively developing new business.
  • Develop effective territory management through sensible journey, time and geographical customer visit patterns and objectives.
  • Follow up all sales leads passed from the office/colleagues promptly and efficiently.
  • Establish customer records/data base and ensure they are kept up to date and in good condition (CRM).

Key Skills/Experience Required:


For this Sales Engineer role you will have experience selling to end users, ideally quarries and stonemasons though that is not essential.

You will be personable and excellent and building relationships and thrive in a hands on role. You will need to beflexible and reactive with a high level of service. You will have excellent field sales experience and be able to journey plan and manage your territory effectively.
