What You Need to Know
Due to an increase in volume, we are looking for a CNC Operator to join our Machine Shop.

Reporting into the Machine Shop Supervisor, you would be working alongside a competent team who are work efficiently with other departments to meet their deadlines and produce quality products.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who can operate CNC & manual machines and in accordance to company procedures. You would be producing quality products in a safe and controlled manner, meeting all quality specifications whilst satisfying productivity requirements, and in compliance with engineering drawings and associated specifications

Some of the Key Responsibilities:

Operate the machine safely and competently in accordance with manufacturers operating instructions and ensure that high safety standards are maintained as laid down by Proserv QHSE policies and procedures
Ensure the provided PPE is worn at all times in the factory workshop area
Operate of a variety of CNC/Manual machine tools, Fanuc control, Mazatron control, and Siemens control
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Read and Interpret CNC programs
Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate tooling
Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate cutting conditions
Inspect and record all relevant dimensions
Complete documentation
Demonstrate engagement with other Team Members where applicable
Demonstrate a high level of housekeeping up to the required 5s standard
Work shifts when required at the companies discretion
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these

Skills & Experience
Essential

Time served machinist or at least experience as a semiskilled operator in an engineering environment.
Skilled on various CNC/Manual Machines

Preferred

ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering
Multi Machine operating (Turning & Milling) & experience in programming
