THE COMPANY:

Our client is multinational Corporate banking company, with over 13,000 branches worldwide.


THE RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • To provide sound Level 1 and Level 2 (Level reviewing role) support for both the Fircosoft the payment screening system and SIRON AMLSiron AML the transaction monitoring system. The timely review of all alerts ensuring a clear and concise rationale included to support the decision to either close the case or escalate to Compliance. This incorporates both the local team and the HO team that support the function during the Asia time zone.
  • The proactive mitigation of any identified red flags by use of trade and financial sanctions screening, open source searches, adverse media screening and RFI's. Completion of an internal SAR for escalation to Compliance for generated potential ''hits''.
  • Case management handling and supervision, to action and chase RFI requests generated by our agent banks and to utilise information the Branch may have already requested.
  • Manage, update and produce purposed standard templates for crossteam usage for regular alerts (including appropriate wording and evidence required for potential matches in order to close alerts).
  • Timely update to RFI templates as appropriate, clearly detailing the required information. The requested information should cover both payment screening and transaction monitoring requests.
  • Using the regular MI produced, actively review alerts generated by Fircosoft on a quarterly basis, specifically the regular 'false positives', ''true alerts' and work with Compliance to fine tune the existing rules and Delegated Authorities closure of cases process.
  • Using the regular MI produced, actively review alerts generated by the SIRON AML scenarios on a quarterly basis and work with Compliance to fine tune the alerts generated with reference to the thresholds used, criteria and frequency of each of the scenarios.
  • Providing frequent and sound Level 1 and Level 2 staff training, guidance and support for both payment screening and transaction monitoring colleagues, specifically on the systems used and alert handling. This incorporates both the local team and the HO team that support the function during the Asia timezone
  • Daily, weekly and monthly production of insightful management information on the number of alerts generated, current status, matters for escalation, alignment with Head of KPIs etc.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


  • Must be able to work 5 days a week in the city office
  • Experience of working at similar levels and with automated Financial Crime monitoring solutions and investigating system generated alerts.
  • Proven ability to review and make judgements on the first level and second level investigation or alerts in line with Financial Crime Risk and provision of support and guidance to other members of the team.
  • A good level of product knowledge (correspondent banking and trade finance) is required.
  • A good level of working knowledge and uptodate understanding of the UK regulatory requirements relating to Financial Crime.
  • Good level of working knowledge of the Fourth and Fifth Money Laundering Directive, Money Laundering Regulations 2019 a+nd the Wire Transfer Regulations.
  • Experience in producing relevant and quality metrics/MI dataset to support weekly and monthly evaluations.
