Job description:


Through your apprenticeship you will undertake a Level 3 Business Administrator Standard and get exposure to the administrative functions and practices which support the work we do.

You will do this whilst being supported by your manager and our learning provider.


The successful applicant will work as a member of the operational team dealing with the processing of financial transaction data relating to various Insolvency matters in line with legislation.

e.g. Bankruptcy, Liquidation, Debt Relief Orders, Redundancy Payments and Individual Voluntary Arrangements.

We work to demanding, but achievable targets in a busy customer driven environment. Our aim is to develop and train our workforce to undertake any of the roles within the team.

Our Business Administrator Apprenticeship provides the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Create and update records on the in-house case management system accurately and safeguard customer data in accordance with the agreed policies and processes.
  • Carry out investigations and complete reconciliation of financial transactions.
  • Follow processes to ensure accurate payment and data processing of cases and escalate issues which require management input.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and training.
  • Provide excellent customer service in both written and telephone contact to both our internal and external customers.
  • Complete quality assurance checks of work processed.
  • Assist with the team workflow and manage your time effectively, whilst delivering a prompt, polite and "right first time" service to our Internal and external customers.
  • Other adhoc admin duties.
Your permanent appointment is conditional on the satisfactory completion of your apprenticeship programme.


Person specification:


Essential Criteria:

To be successful in this apprenticeship you will understand the commitment needed to complete an apprenticeship and have:

  • Excellent organisational skills to plan and prioritise tasks effectively, good time management to meet targets and deadlines.
  • The ability to think ahead to anticipate problems and have excellent problemsolving skills to arrive at a firm decision.
  • The skills to work as a team player as well the ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
  • Effective and easy to understand communication skills (written and verbal), to use in a variety of situations.

Qualifications


Apprentices without Level 2 (GCSE grade C or equivalent) English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to completion of the apprenticeship.

If you have achieved this level and can provide evidence, e.g. copies of your certificates, then you will be exempt from these exams.

The training provider will also complete a search at enrolment, however if they are unable to confirm your grades you will be required to sit the exams.
