They need to make their data more accessible and actionable so that they can extract maximum insight and value to drive improved efficiency, innovation, and effective business processes.


Applied Technology is currently looking for talented
Data Strategists to work alongside a team of Data Analysts, Scientists, Architects and Geospatial consultants.


As a Data Strategist you will sit at the centre of the practice, bringing together your experience across the entire data lifecycle and your understanding of organisations' strategic drivers.

You will work with clients to understand their requirements, design tailored.

  • Work with senior clients to understand the role of data in their organisation, their analytics maturity and shape the data vision for their business.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to understand their requirements, design tailored data strategies and implement transformational change; enabling organisations to generate value from their data at pace.
  • Translate the data strategy into a realistic and agile implementation roadmap to deliver value quickly.
  • Shape the programme of work and support the successful delivery of large data and AI programmes with our data and technology experts.
  • Play a lead role establishing and developing best practices including internal capability development; as well as supporting the development of team capabilities through training and mentorship.
  • Promote dataenabled cultures in client organisations.
  • Participate in external activities related to your own specialism such as client engagement, conferences, and research papers.
  • Contribute to decisionmaking that will lead to the successful delivery of projects.

Requirements:


_ Essential:
_


  • 4+ years of professional experience (we are hiring at a range of different levels).
  • Generalist expertise across the entire data lifecycle including data strategy, data governance, risk and ethics, architecture, modelling.
  • Specialist expertise in one OR more of the following:
  • Technology implementation including data on cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • Experience in Data Science, AI / Machine Learning, hyperautomation.
  • Analytics, visualisation, and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in data modelling of any type: conceptual, logical, dimensional, or physical.
  • Experience of databases, data warehousing and ETL.
  • Experience and understanding of Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
  • Experience delivering data, analytics, and AI / ML strategies.
  • Ability to assess and create an operating model for data, including organisational structure, the skill sets of employees and the culture of the organisation.
  • Business Analysis skills including requirements definition, business process mapping, information gathering, and specification development.
  • Ability to communicate and present insights from a businesscentric perspective to tell a story.
  • Experience working in agile and waterfall project environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Clientfacing internal or external consultancy experience.
  • Experience in technologycentric change projects.
  • Ability to manage and develop others.
  • Experience with competitive sales and the development of proposals / value propositions / solutions.
  • Experience in implementing maturity assessments.
  • Experience in Defence, Government, Security and Infrastructure sectors.
  • Microsoft certification.
