    Description
    Plexal is the innovation company solving society's challenges through collaboration with government, startups and industry.

    Expanding on its existing presence in London and Manchester, Plexal acquired a majority shareholding in Hub8 – the Cheltenham network of co-working spaces for cyber-tech, digital and creative startups and SMEs.

    This is part of an ongoing mission to build the UK's most connected cyber ecosystem, with GCHQ's more than 70-year heritage in Cheltenham.

    Plexal delivers projects for key government departments and global tech companies including the National Cyber Security Centre, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Amazon Web Services and IBM.

    With an entrepreneurial mindset the Community Manager will be able to identify opportunities to facilitate collaboration between our members, ensuring a seamless and efficient service from our front desk team as well as managing our member events.

    • Responsible for line management of a team of Community Associates
    • Planning of the community events calendar with ideas from regular interaction with members
    • Provide outstanding service to all our members who request support on site, or via our helpdesk
    • Deliver a smooth onboarding process for all new members, from printing and delivering new membership cards to ensuring new members are aware of upcoming community events
    • Have a thorough understanding of our member portal and CRM system, keeping records fully up to date and utilising reporting to provide useful insights to the business
    • Morning check of meeting rooms and communal areas prior to members arrival to ensure fully stocked and tidy
    • Answer the phone and the community inbox to deal with queries in a friendly and helpful manner
    • Confident to answer basic IT and facilities queries
    • Oversee the mail and parcel collection/distribution process
    • Engagement with Here East dock office, security and reception and suppliers (cleaners, building contractors, etc)
    Excellent organisational skills, time and priority management


    • Enjoy engaging and networking with people
    • University graduate with several years of experience is preferred but not essential
    • Strong customer experience and/or hospitality experience and/or community management
    • Previous experience of using a CRM is preferable
