Description

We seek a skilled and motivated Shift Team Leader to join our client, a UK wide leader in the Energy from Waste sector.

You will join the biomass plant operations team, leading a team in the exciting field of biomass energy.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of operators and technicians during assigned shifts to ensure safe and efficient operation of the biomass plant.
Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule and oversee equipment inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
Monitor plant operations, including biomass fuel intake, combustion processes, and power generation, to optimize performance and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and operational issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary to minimize downtime.
Train and mentor team members in plant procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response protocols.
Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including shift logs, production reports, and maintenance records.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for improving plant efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Requirements:

An experienced Engineer / Technician having completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship / Training.
NVQ or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
Minimum IOSH Managing Safely.
Senior Authorised Person in Safe Systems of Work
Proven experience in an Energy from Waste facility or similar process, operating high pressure steam systems.
Ability to work shifts.

Salary:
£50,000.00-£55,113.28 per year
