    Pre-Press Mac Operator

    We're a successful digital print, production and installation company based just a stone's throw from the centre of Birmingham, outside of the CAZ area with easy access to local road, tram and rail networks.

    Our reputation is built upon providing a trusted, honest and accurate service and product. We've expanded organically every year in our 22 plus year history and this year has proven we need even more help to continue our growth

    This is a fantastic new opportunity for the ideal candidate to join a growing design, small and large format digital print production company servicing mainly blue-chip end users as a Pre-Press Mac Operator.

    The experienced candidate we're looking for will have at least three to four years industry experience conducive to the Pre-Press Mac Operator role and essentially be an expert communicator both with clients and colleagues.

    As standard we operate between Monday to Friday from 9am and 5:30pm and you occasionally may be required to work overtime during the week and the occasional weekend dependent on current workload.

    As an overview, as a Pre-Press Mac Operator you will:

    Be excellently skilled and fully literate in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe/Mac based software to perform all artworking requirements.

    To be conversant in standard PC based office software such as MS Office.

    Being conversant in 3D software for CAD engineering to create FSDUs, CDUs, etc.

    would definitely set you above competition and Web design and SEO capabilities would also be a benefit although not essential.

    Work proficiently alone or as a team player and develop into an integral part of a busy, friendly production team having an aspiration to progress into leadership.

    Ensure all artwork adheres to the job detail and brief, colour matches and that the client brand guidelines are met whilst also ensuring all deadlines achieved.


    Offer creative input into our own marketing requirements and undertake occasional creative design briefs for clients.

    Operate small format and large format digital printers to produce a variety of printed product.

    Upkeep all operational systems and software.

    The candidate will display a passion for delivering a quality service and will have a depth of experience in working within a Studio of a print manufacturing business preparing artwork for production on a variety of different digitally printed materials, products and machinery for internal and external application.

    They will demonstrate an ability to create and implement new procedures and techniques with prior approval and be able to schedule their workload to meet all deadlines.


    Key attributes required for the Pre-Press Mac Operator:
    A "never fail, can do" attitude.

    Excellent interpersonal skills and a likeable disposition.

    Experience working on files for a varied range of print production.

    Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure successfully using on their own initiative effectively at speed with accuracy.


    An expansive knowledge of small and large format digital printing products and techniques.
