The Investment and Research team has the overall responsibility for enhancing investment process and coordinating investment research efforts to gain greater efficiency across Investments platform, while fostering integrated Governance environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Supporting key enhancements to the investment oversight process, in partnership with other members of Investments Governance and various teams across WM Investment Solutions, Risk, Compliance, and Controls
  • Support creation of new frameworks for oversight of new business initiatives
  • Performing analytical work that could contribute in enhancing processes and Investments oversight.
  • Following market trends and analyzing market data to understand factors impacting Funds/Portfolios performance.
  • Coordinating collection of information from a number of partner teams to complete oversight materials; Creating materials that are used for investment oversight of third party and internal wealth management products.
  • Reviewing Investment related documentation such as Investment Committee decks and Fund/Portfolios performance reviews.
  • Ensuring appropriate levels of documentation exist to evidence the investment oversight process.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Industry experience, preferably in investment or asset management
  • Working knowledge of fund of funds business and a variety of investment products including mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, structured products, etc.
  • Strong team player and problem solver who can collaborate with multiple teams to find solutions
  • Strong interest in Investments and process enhancements.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic and selfmotivated with the ability to multitask in a constantly changing environment with limited supervision
  • Strong time management skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Analytical skills and good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. VBA or Programming knowledge a plus.
