- Manage and report HSEQ metrics and use them to drive improvement.
- Help set overall HSEQ strategy and establish suitable targets and objectives for the facility.
- Develop and follow-up Improvement Plans to achieve HSEQ goals.
- Ensure that Company personnel are adequately trained with respect to HSEQ matters.
- Maintain and identify HSEQ training needs, highlighting areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by legislation, Approved Codes of Practice or HSE guidance.
- Oversee and plan the internal and external audit programmes.
- Develop, maintain and implement the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensure all policies and procedures are up to date, compliant with all applicable laws and regulations and aligned to LXS corporate requirements and guidelines.
- Ensure continued ISO certifications for ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO Environmental) to the current scope and any future standards deemed necessary by the Company, for example, ISO Health & Safety) and Energy)and any other standards that become required.
- Ensure that the Company is proactive, up to date and complies with all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) legislation.
- Compliance with all license, consents and environmental permitting requirements, including any variations, renewals and modifications.
- Manage COMAH compliance and oversee the Process Safety Management (PSM) programme.
- Be the principal point of contact with the regulatory authorities (including the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, and Fire Service).
- Provides leadership and acts as a figurehead on all HSEQ matters.
- Experience in a similar role as a HSEQ Manager (10yrs+)
- Experience in chemical manufacturing (COMAH facility) is essential.
- Thorough knowledge of EHSS laws, regulations, practices and standards.
- Knowledge of IMS – principles, implementation and auditing of ISO 14001 and 9001.
- Strong managerial, technical and interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and organise own workload with minimal supervision.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and work as part of a team.
- Fact-based analysis and decision-making.
- Good basic working IT knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional.
- Operational leadership experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent (minimum)..

Job Highlights
Reporting into the Site Manager and working closely with the Manufacturing Management Team (MMT), the HSEQ Manager will be the lead contact for site, group and contractors to ensure compliance of all aspects of Health, Safety, Environmental, Security and Quality systems for the Trafford Park and Deeside facilities.
