    Stress Engineer - £44 per hour Inside IR Months (extensions highly likely) - Bristol - standard 35 hours across 5 days (working between Hybrid (60% onsite) - One stage virtual interview - Sector: Aerospace and Defence


    Yolk Recruitment are searching for a Stress Engineer to work with a renowned Aerospace company that is at the forefront of space exploration and travel.

    You will be responsible for static strength analysis and the justification of metallic and composite structures.

    Your primary role will be to work closely with the design engineers and the Fatigue and Damage tolerance engineers to assess and validate repairs to damaged aircraft structures.

    Responsibilities

    Using approved methods and tools to perform structural static strength analysis of repairs.
    Creating and compiling justification reports
    Working closely with skilled designers to develop optimum repairs.

    Essential

    Experience as an aerospace structural analysis engineer, with experience of how airframe repairs are developed and justified.
    Experience of static analysis of aircraft structures using a range of hand and computer methods.
    Experience of compiling static strength justification reports.
    An understanding of the fundamental methods of static stress analysis and an ability to develop these methods.
    Comfortable working with and manipulating large datasets.

    Desirable

    Aerospace Engineering degree (or equivalent) and relevant engineering experience.
    Be conversant with technical requirements for repair analysis.
    Understanding of ISAMI and mathcad
