A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Site Surveyor / Project Manager to join a family ran, supplier of high end furniture and interior design.

This is a design-led business who's work can be found in the homes of high net worth individuals and pride themselves on meeting high expectations and providing an extremely high quality products and an extremely professional service.

Their growth over the years has occurred largely down to referrals of their customers as well as being recommended by the architects and contractors that they have built relationships with.

This role is based at their Oxford office.
Being a Site Surveyor you are expected to go to site once a sale has been agreed. The majority of the sites are in the Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. However some travel further afield may be required.

Salary - £35-45,000 per annum

Duties include:


  • Survey and appropriately monitor sites then feedback written information promptly to designers.
  • Communicate confidently and clearly with architects, interior designers, trades and clients to ensure that sites are ready for installation.
  • Coordinate and book installs and remedial work into the company fitting diary ensuring the most effective use of resources and prioritising tasks.
  • Prepare job sheets for required installation and remedial work, ensure they are returned to design managers and that all points are actioned.
  • Arrange the purchase and delivery of materials to site.
  • Prepare orders for remedial items.
  • Communicate directly with factories/suppliers to arrange prompt resolution of remedial items.
  • Provide technical knowledge of construction across a variety of trades, but especially joinery, to other staff members.
  • Act as a contact point for past clients/contractors and ensure invoicing has taken place for remedial work, where required.
  • Participate in weekly conference calls across the three sites to ensure a full picture of the company's tasks.
  • Ensure fitting teams are compliant with site health and safety. This will include producing SMS and/or RAMS and periodically reviewing these internally and externally.
  • Check that mechanical & electrical drawings are uptodate, accurate and meet the written standards of the company.
  • Work with the design managers to acquire a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the projects and handle all client queries effectively when on site.
  • Will either have previous Site Surveyor experience, or project manager experience managing construction or installation projects
  • Alternatively you could have a trades background and have some project or sales experience
  • Must be an adaptable communicator who can be credible in front of high worth customers as well as builders and contractors
