What does the role look like?


Working as a Subject Matter Expert, influencer and driving improvement and projects that must ensure Central Materials strategic approach is achieved and aligned with the Value Streams as well as ensuring the SAP Master data is accurate through thorough investigation of the system data once a part strategy is defined and agreed.


What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Lead/support key activities that drive Central Materials strategy implementation plan.
  • Identify and close gaps and opportunities on the VS's Materials strategic approach against the overarching Central Materials strategy.
  • Drive new projects around Materials Management methodology to support VS's in deciding replenishment strategy, traceability, tracking targets and production planning.
  • Support the SIOP process by owning and rolling out new tools to support better decision making. (e.g Hours Forecasting tool, Hours Recovery tool, BOM impact against MPS changes etc)
  • Drive and ensure alignment between SAP, Actuals and Master Data parameters and settings to ensure inventory accuracy and Master Data accuracy against Storage Locations.
  • Lead investigation on inventory adjustment requests to ensure there is no quality breaches.
  • Support central stocktake projects including, but not limited to, setting up Amnesty process in each VS, provide resources such as count stickers, drive pre and post stocktake actions.
  • Ensure SAP data is up to date by analysing key areas data is fed. (e.g Work Centre to Capacity Group alignment, Work Centre to Cost Centre alignment etc).
  • Be a vocal from the Central Materials team in Value Stream SIOP meetings and other key meetings to support with ideas, data, calculation and solutions implementation as well as monitoring progress through KPIs.
  • Be an influencer on SAP behaviour and reactions upon changes and approach to business.

Essential skills:


  • Highly skilled in MS Excel (including VBA)
  • Experience in Manufacturers business environment.
  • SAP knowledge with proven record mandatory

Desirable skills:


  • Aerospace businesses experience
  • Project Management, Lean Manufacturing and/or 6Sigma experience
  • Degree on Engineering, Economy, Administration
  • Understanding of Inventory Policies
