- Operating basic production equipment and tools in the manufacture, assembly and packaging of various products.
- Following engineering drawings, guidelines, diagrams and schematics to ensure product and customer specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Assisting as part of manufacturing team in modifying existing equipment or designing new equipment for continual manufacturing process improvement, as well as quality control and in-process production testing.
- Identifies waste in production system and can action change to remove it.
- Creation of manufacturing documentation, providing production tooling, implementation of new process change and related activities.
- Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them
- Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process
- Conducting basic equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustained production.
- Proven mechanical background in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Windows packages.
- The ability to communicate at all levels with both internal/external customers and suppliers.
- Able to work alone as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organisation skills to manage and prioritise workloads.
- Be self-motivated and can work on your own initiative.
- Use of 2D & 3D modelling
- Use of Teamcenter
- Standard work, PFMEA's, Control Plans, ergonomic assessments, knowledge of Manufacturing tools
- Knowledge of Smart tooling solutions

Role Definition:
Performs basic activities to assist in the manufacture and assembly of various products per established facility processes including set-up, calibration, testing, maintenance and production operation.
