    We have an exciting opportunity for a Non - Medical Prescriber to join our Primary Care team at HMP Five Wells, a category C Prison located in Wellingborough

    Hours

    The site currently offers a Monday to Friday - 09:00 to 17:00 (with some flexibility)

    Salary

    This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 53077 per annum - depending on experience.

    Main duties of the job

    As a Non-Medical Prescriber, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • You will maintain integrated working practices and care pathways for the site that meet the complex and changing needs of people with co-existing issues.
  • As part of this role, you'll provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication and carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after. You'll provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history so this is a great opportunity to expand your clinical development in an environment that teaches you something new everyday.
  • You will work as a lead member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for undertaking Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients. You will also be the go-to for providing expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.

  • You will be a Registered professional with current active registration (NMC, GPhC, HCPC, BsC) or equivalent.
  • You'll also have an understanding and knowledge of policy developments including, Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework and to be able to use your knowledge of evidence based practice and national standards that inform practice ( National Service Frameworks, NICE guidelines etc.).
