Ultrasoundclinics are delivered from the following sites within Eastern Cheshire usingnewly replaced GE ultrasound equipment.
Macclesfield Health Hub & East Cheshire Trust
Knutsford & District Community Hospital
Congleton Memorial Hospital
Handforth Clinic
The successful applicant will be required to work independentlyacross these sites but also as part of a wider team, healthcare assistants form part of our valued team and support all sessions.
We promote effective communication and engagement, meeting regularly for service/clinical updates including peer review audit/feedback.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of a small but experienced team, you will report directly to the Lead Sonographer. Your remit will be to be independently responsible for carrying out and reporting on non-obstetric ultrasound examinations to a high standard, in line with local and national guidelines. Holding a CASE accredited ultrasound qualification (PgCert, PgDip) you must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom with HCPC/NMC/ equivalent registration. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills and experience in general, gynaecological and superficial/small parts scanning. MSK and/or head and neck experience would also be an advantage.

To undertake arange of ultrasound examinations in line with local, regional, and nationalguidelines

To use the CRIS system for hot reportingall examinations as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures.
To work as part of a small team and activelydevelop, participate and contribute to matters concerning clinical governance,relevant programs of clinical audit and assessment.
To deliver appropriate, sensitive, andindividualised patient care at all times, with a focus on patient experience.
