About The RolePractice Plus Group Hospital Shepton Mallet are recruiting to a new Junior Surgical Fellow post.
This post is a theatre based role in our hospital where we have 4 operating theatres which undertake a range of orthopaedic arthroplasty and other upper and lower limb procedures, general surgery, ENT, Gynaecology and Urology procedures.
We are a high volume low complexity surgical hub which treats a mixture of NHS and private patients.We undertake approximately 2000 arthroplasty procedures per year including day case arthroplasty and a total of 6800 elective procedures per year.

What you'll be doing
The post-holder would work as a surgical assistant.
There would be no on-call or weekend requirement in this post and the post-holder would work 40hrs per week over 4 days with shifts typically 7.30am-5.30pm.
There are opportunities for audit, quality improvement activities and research and professional development or to support an individual who is already participating in research or a higher degree.
