Job Title - Star Wars and TV/Film Collectables Specialist

Salary - Depending on experience


Job type - Permanent


As a Star Wars and TV/Film Collectables Specialist for Vectis Auctions, you will catalogue collectables to be sold on our online auction platform.

An excellent knowledge of collectables is required in your chosen field which could be anything from, Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR, Super Heros, Thunderbirds, Transformers and the merchandise associated with them etc.

Speed, accuracy and a passion for collectables are qualities required by Vectis to enable us to fulfil our vision to become the UK's largest, premium collectables auction company.


Key Accountabilities

  • Be a part of the Cataloguing Team and contribute to team meetings to improve the Vectis service.
  • Support other cataloguers as required with sales.
  • Input titles, descriptions and estimates into the Vectis auction system.
  • Identify collectables and sort collections into "lots"
  • Work with enthusiasm and at pace.
  • Capability to complete all paperwork and administration.
  • Ability to learn and share knowledge of products.
  • Liaise with customers to determine if the collection is suitable for auction.
  • Support customers enquiries and resolve customer issues
  • Attend exhibitions and promote Vectis to the wider community
  • Work closely with marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all channels, and devise strategies to increase the customer base.
  • Supervise/mentor Trainee Cataloguers

Skillsets Requirements:


Essential

  • Excellent knowledge on chosen area of collectables and their values
  • Computer literate and competent with Microsoft product
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening

Desirable

  • Worked within an ecommerce environment
  • Experience of buying and selling on an online auction platform, such as Ebay
  • Management experience or supervising staff

Salary:
£20,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
