    Group Accountant

    • Job Type: Full-time
    • Location: West Molesey
    • Salary: Competitive

    We are seeking a Group Accountant to set up and manage financial systems for a national group of companies within the healthcare industry. This role is integral to overseeing critical accounting functions, including month-end and year-end activities, annual budgeting, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

    Day to Day of the role:
    • Prepare year-end accounts and conduct tax computations for all companies within the group.
    • Generate monthly management information reports and quarterly consolidation accounts.
    • Ensure quarterly compliance with bank gearing ratios and reporting requirements.
    • Manage statutory and regulatory compliance for the company.
    • Maintain accurate and organized records of clients' accounts.
    • Oversee all aspects of accounting for the group companies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Reconcile daily cash flows with bank statements.
    • Handle ad hoc financial tasks and projects as assigned by senior management.
    • Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and financial management tasks.
    • Liaise with HMRC for PAYE and corporation tax liabilities, payments, and queries.
    • Prepare annual budgets for all trading companies and report to the Senior Management Team.
    • Oversee accounts payable processes and manage payroll coordination.
    Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in a similar Group Accountant role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
    • Qualified accountant (FCCA) is essential.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
    • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
    • Adept at handling complex accounting and financial issues.
