Quality & Improvement of Learning Lead - Home-based & London - Permanent - £32,000-35,000k
Are you an experienced Apprenticeship and Skills professional with a passion for quality and curriculum? Do you have a genuine interest in working collectively toward team goals?
A role has become available with one of the UK's leading Apprenticeship and Skills training providers.

The Quality & Improvement of Learning Lead will work alongside the Head of Quality to observe teaching and learning practices, mentor staff, plan staff development opportunities and successfully prepare staff for the next full inspection against Ofsted's EducationInspection Framework.

You will have had extensive experience in the following areas:

  • Apprenticeship Governance
  • Coaching/Mentoring
  • Resource and Curriculum Management
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Ofsted
  • Internal Quality Assurance
  • Standardisation

Key responsibilities:

  • Working closely with team members to implement a highquality professional teaching and learning development strategy
  • Along with colleagues, undertake a training needs analysis, develop, and implement a staff development (CPD) schedule
  • Become an integral member of the formal observation team
  • Support staff with the creation and action agreed CPD plans
  • Create an annualised programme of cost effective / high value impactful professional development
  • Lead the development of digital skills for staff, enabling them to improve and deliver effectively
  • Actively research new and innovative learning strategies and approaches
  • Actively improve curriculum to ensure that content is sequential and useable by all.
  • Update your own professional knowledge and skills with a commitment to learning and development
  • Keep abreast with changes to the Apprenticeship and Skills landscape and Ofsted requirements
  • Experience of working in the FE and Skills Sector, especially workbased learning
  • Experience of working collaboratively with external bodies to develop quality and curriculum
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an advanced practitioner/teacher educator role or similar
  • Development and implementation of CPD programmes
  • Experience of undertaking formal OTLA's
  • Experience of mentoring staff to improve practice
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills written and spoken
  • Effective at planning/managing own time and great problemsolving skills
