    Role Description

    Van Driver Volunteers

    Location: Kennington (Oxfordshire)

    Time commitment: 1.5 – 3 hours per week

    We are looking for reliable volunteer drivers to drive a person we support to and from appointments and to places they enjoy visiting in a specially adapted van. We are looking for drivers for 1.5 – 2 hours on the following days:
  • Monday 10:30 and 14:30
  • Tuesday 10:30 and 14:30
  • Wednesday 10:30 and 14:30
  • Thursday 14:30
  • Friday 10:30 and 14:30
  • We are also looking for a driver for approximately 3 hours on Thursday's at 8:30.

    This role is based at our service in Kennington (Oxfordshire). Skills required
  • To be a confident driver with a full clean driver's licence.
  • To be kind, friendly, empathetic, and patient.
  • To have a good sense of humour and love to chat.
  • To be reliable and punctual.

To ensure the safety of the people we support, we require a DBS check and two satisfactory references before a volunteer role is confirmed. As you will be volunteering directly with vulnerable individuals, you will also be required to undertake safeguarding training, as well as any training which is specific to the role. About Us
