Job Description:


We're looking for our next customer account executive - it's the perfect opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in a commercial environment in the supply chain world.

We're offering hybrid working, but you will need to be in our Manchester office two days per week.

You'll be working with around 150 customer accounts, proactively working with customers protect and grow their portfolio. Your role is to understand your customers, implementing corrective/preventative measures where transactional data indicates control problems.

CHEP is a global leader in supply of pallets in a circular economy model.

We rent our pallets out to customers who use them throughout their supply chain, and then we recover them from the end user.

This role will help audit our customers to make sure they're paying the correct amounts for the pallets we've delivered to them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Continuity of Business: Collaborate within your Territory Team to protect & grow existing business. Ensure completion of customer touch points throughout the year to drive the CHEP just works company vision.
  • Customer Intimacy: Work with your customers to understand their business and priorities. Allowing you to continually improve the customer experience and support the implementation of new tools, system upgrades and enhancements, making the value that CHEP brings unquestionable.
  • Value: Through the proactive contact plan work in collaboration with the customer to deliver service excellence and make CHEP the easiest choice for our customers, utilising our unique market position and supply chain expertise with the ultimate aim of adding customer recognised value.
What you'll need

  • Ideally a track record in a customer facing or sales role
  • Capacity to conduct high volume outbound call
  • Telephone skills you'll need to be comfortable and confident speaking with people over the phone
  • Structured and disciplined individual who is comfortable with detail and can work well under pressure
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Ideally you'll have some experience in relationship management and negotiation skills
