    Job summary

Inpatient Mental Health Services - a specialism to be proud of.

There is no doubt that looking after our most acutely ill patients on our wards is a job of the highest importance and a vital and valued component of the Trust's mental health support offer. The value that our staff working in these areas bring to the Trust can never be overstated.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a challenging but incredibly rewarding role to join Ash Villa, a 15 bedded female acute treatment ward for adults experiencing acute mental health. The ward which operates over a 24-hour period, is for working age service users who are experiencing acute mental health difficulties following where possible an assessment and treatment plan prior to transfer from our acute ward colleagues in Lincoln and Boston.

    Main duties of the job

As Ward Manager, you need to demonstrate strong performance leadership skills in the day-to-day management of the ward. Being kind, curious, creative, self-aware and assertive are important skills that you will build on, as you are often required to think outside the box with the Trust Vision and Values at the core of patient care. With responsibility for clinical and financial KPIs, you will work with the Multidisciplinary Team which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a team.

Providing high quality care will be second nature to you with a positive attitude toward change. In addition to this, you will be able to continue to develop and create a culture that aspires to delivering best practice for our patients and demonstrates effective communication and promotes a culture of transparency and equity.

    About us

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health services and a number of learning disability, autism and social care services in the county of Lincolnshire. Employing around 2,800 staff, and serving a population of over 766,000, our people lie at the heart of everything we do.

You could be part of a Trust rated by staff as one of the best mental health and learning disability trusts in England, in an area heralded as a fantastic place to live and work. We firmly believe the key to high quality care is a contented workforce. This is reflected in our Care Quality Commission rating of 'outstanding' for well-led and 'good' overall. In the most recent National NHS Staff Survey, our staff rated us as the number one trust nationally for staff morale and one of the top scoring NHS Trusts in the Midlands for being compassionate and inclusive. We're really proud of this

We are also leading the way in transforming care, with multi-million-pound transformation of patient environments and radical redesign of community services.

This is the time to join and help redesign our services of the future. We offer options for flexible working and provide a wide range of training and promotion opportunities in all professions. We support and celebrate diversity, have active staff networks groups and are always looking at what more we can do to support our staff.
