Are you an experienced professional working within the management and leadership of Science Parks or Property? If so, we're looking for a
Divisional Partner to lead the world-renowned,
Granta Park, site based team.

The joint owners of the park have ambitious plans for the site and this really is an opportunity, not to be missed Successful applicants must have experience of managing a similar science park previously or will be working for another property consultancy within a Partner or Director capacity.

Granta Park is home to many businesses such as AstraZeneca, Illumina and Thermofisher.

The site is within easy reach of the A11/M11 and also has a commuter bus from Cambridge City Centre and Whittlesford railway station.

On site there are an array of amenities such as a Nuffield gym, restaurant, playing field, river walks, nature areas and much more


Job Purpose
The main focus of this role is to provide property management expertise and leadership for the Granta Park team.

This will provide the opportunity to take responsibility for a significant portfolio of office and laboratory buildings, ensuring that client services are provided to a high standard and in accordance with Asset Management Agreements.

This is an opportunity to manage a key client portfolio and seek opportunities to grow the instruction as the park develops.


What you'll do

Property Management

  • Regular liaison with tenants and client, inspecting properties as required
  • Overseeing the management and reconciliation of service charges and rent debtor control, as well as preparing and submitting client budgets for service charges as well as operational and capital projects
  • Appointing and monitoring of contractors
  • Supporting the Property Manager and Accounting team in processing and completing Development packs
  • Preparing monthly Directors Reports including budget vs actual variance reporting
  • Attending and reporting at weekly property management and facilities management client meetings.
  • Updating and submitting quarterly lender management reports
  • Monitoring debtors and acting accordingly
  • Ensuring that arrangements for health and safety are In place and are kept up to date
  • Managing emergency response arrangements and coordinating activity in this regard
  • Attending park amenity operators' quarterly financial meetings to review performance against budget.

Leadership role

  • Lead the Granta Park team including management of the onsite staff and facilities/property managers
  • Form good working relationships with clients, tenants, stakeholders and the wider Bidwells team

Asset Management

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to add value and optimise performance
  • Monitoring and, where appropriate, providing transaction support in connection with the financing, leasing/sale of properties including rent reviews and lease renewals
  • Preparing and submitting monthly Asset Management notes and leading monthly client Asset Management meetings
  • Working closely with project management, agency, investment, landlord and tenant and other professional teams

About you:


  • MRICS qualified
  • Extensive technical knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation and regulations relating to the management of commercial property
  • Extensive knowledge of managing service charge accounts, with high levels of numeracy
  • Proven property management skills including good knowledge of the relevant H&S legislation
  • Previous leadership and management experience
  • Ability to influence high level client outcomes
  • The ability to coordinate other individuals and service providers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills
