    The Role:

    The key focus of this role is to establish and maintain an efficient hygiene management system to ensure full compliance with all legal and company standards. The role involves overseeing and maintaining hygiene standards within the site and monitoring environmental microbiological performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure production areas and equipment meet high cleaning standards with minimal downtime
    • Collaborate with hygiene experts to implement best practices
    • Develop and review a comprehensive cleaning plan
    • Conduct audits and inspections
    • Monitor environmental and equipment hygiene
    • Take corrective actions based on inspection results
    • Manage key contracts and resources
    • Ensure adherence to Good Hygiene Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement
    • Manage hygiene budget
    • Maintain cleaning standards in compliance with audit requirements

    Desired Candidate Profile:

    • Experience in leading hygiene teams or management
    • Knowledge of food safety requirements and relevant qualifications (e.g., COSHH, IOSH)
    • Proficiency in PC skills
    • Pest awareness training
    • Budget management experience
